Adventure and beach vacation in the Philippines

Day 1

Arrival in Manila. A local guide and I will meet the group at the airport. Bus ride to the hotel, where you will stay for 1 night. Check-in to the rooms, a short break. First dinner together.

Day 2

Early breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the mountains of the Ifugao Cordillera along the Northern Highway, where the Banaue rice terraces are located, considered by many to be the eighth wonder of the world.

The journey to Banaue passes small towns and villages surrounded by rice fields. A short stop in San Jose for lunch at a restaurant. On the way there are stops at Dalton Pass, Santa Fe and Nueva Vizcaya, passing Bagabag, where picturesque mountains and rivers begin to rise into the Ifugao land.

Check-in at the hotel in Banaue, where you will stay for 2 nights. Dinner with the Cordillera National Show.

Day 3

Early breakfast at the hotel. An exclusive trip with a local jeepney to the rice terraces and one of its villages, Hapao. A visit to the home of a local rice farmer and a walk on the terraces. Possibility to dive into cold and hot natural springs located next to each other. Joint dinner at the hotel.

Day 4

Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. Drive to Cauayan Airport. Domestic flight with stopover in Caticlan, Manila.

At Caticlan Airport, we will meet a local guide. A bus ride to the port, from where we have a speedboat ride to the island of Boracay. Check-in at a Boracay beach hotel where you will stay for 3 nights.

Day 5

Breakfast at the resort. The day passes in the embrace of wonderful clear sea waters and white sand beaches. Boracay is a place to enjoy beach life, swim and snorkel, see various marine life. During the boat tour, you will visit the islands: Crocodile Island, Crystal Cove Garden and Magic Island. Shared barbecue lunch on one of these small islands.

Back to the resort and the rest of the day is free for rest.

Day 6

Day for a beach vacation. Lunch and dinner are not included.

Day 7

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to airport, domestic flight to Cebu, Mactan airport. Meeting with a local English-speaking guide.

Drive to the port from where the ferry will take you to Bohol Island to Tagbilaran Port, about 70 km south of Cebu. The journey takes about 2 hours. Drive to the hotel where you will stay for 3 nights. Settling into a resort hotel, enjoying its amenities.

Day 8

Breakfast at the resort hotel. Bohol island tour where we see historical, cultural and natural attractions.

Memorial Blood Oath, depicting the signing of a blood pact between Sikatuna and Legaspi in 1565. It is considered to be the first treaty of friendship between two different races, religions, cultures and civilizations. The memorial depicts parties drinking blood wine.

Contrary to the belief that Bohol is only known for its Chocolate Mountains and beautiful beaches, Bohol also has many churches that are associated with the long history of the spread of Christianity. Baclayon Church and Museum is one such treasure, settled by the Spanish Jesuits in the late 16th century.

Next, we will meet the smallest primates in the world - the Bohol Tarsiers, which are palm-sized cuddly balls with large, mesmerizing eyes.

On the way through the lush artificial mahogany forest and green farmlands, we can enjoy these strange cone-shaped hills known as the Chocolate Hills from the viewing platform. The name comes from the dry season, when there is insufficient rainfall, and the grassy hills turn chocolate brown.

Drive back to Loboc, where we transfer to a 50-minute relaxing river cruise by catamaran. A rich lunch from local cuisine is served on board. Graceful coconut trees and nipa palms (stemless palm bushes, like ferns) roll along the banks of the river.

Day 9

Breakfast at the hotel. Day to enjoy the beauty of the Bohol Island beaches. Overnight at the same hotel in Bohol.

Day 10

Breakfast at the resort, check-out from the hotel at noon and ferry back to Cebu. Check-in to a nice seaside hotel for the last nights.

Day 11

We will drive to Oslob to see whale sharks, or "tuks" as the locals call them. You can swim with them or observe these gentle giants from the boat. Observations are allowed only between 6 am and 1 pm, and there is time for swimming and snorkeling for about 30 minutes.

After watching the whale sharks, there is a joint lunch at a local restaurant. The adventurous day ends with a canyoning trip (in water and on land) at the Kawasan waterfalls. Overnight in the same hotel.

Day 12

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day for activities of your choice.

Day 13

Free time until 3:00 p.m.: packing and checking out of the hotel.

Bus ride to Cebu City, where we have twin cities tour and visit:

  • A quick look at the old colonial street, the government building and the fountain-memorial in the center of the city, which was erected in honor of the new waterworks of the city and the previous president Osmeña.

  • Yap San Diego - Said to be one of the first Chinese houses outside of Chinese territory, a mix of Chinese and Spanish cul-de-sacs.

  • Fort San Pedro - the oldest and smallest fort in the Philippines.

  • Magellan's Cross - a huge wooden cross to mark the arrival of Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan in Cebu 500 years ago.

  • Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño - Basilica that houses the relic of the baby Jesus that Ferdinand Magellan gave to locals in 1521.

  • The monument "Mactan Shrine" is dedicated to native Lapu-Lapu, from whom Magellan's Spaniards were defeated in the Battle of Mactan in 1521.

  • Alegre Guitar Factory and Souvenir Shop.

Final dinner at 8 p.m. and departure to the airport before midnight.

Day 14

Departure from Cebu airport at 02:55 a.m. to Istanbul. Back in Tallinn at 5:50 p.m.

Places we visit
